Message dated May 17 was read, stating the House passed and                                         
returned for consideration SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 8                                            
Relating to the division of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, with the                            
following amendment:

Senator Ben Stevens moved that the Senate concur in the House                                       
amendment and recommended the body vote no.                                                         
                                                                                                    
The question being: "Shall the Senate concur in the House                                           
amendment?"
